2 year deal, option for a 3rd, but no figures thrown around. It says in the article that the White Sox were in on him as well. He's 34 i believe with a career sub-3 era. I wonder if KC is going to overpay for him. He might not have been a bad option for a new face in the bullpen for cheap. Oh well, there's other Japanese arms out there we can take a look at if we wanna go that route...

Has anyone even seen this guy pitch let alone know what kind of stuff he has?All I've read is that he was pretty impressive in the WBC. And that he never made it as a starter in Japan, but has been a very good reliever.

I don't know... Those Japanese pitchers have a pretty good track record of being pretty un-hittable their first year in the States because no one knows anything about them.

I don't know if I'd sign the guy to a 3-year-deal, however.
