Looks like Garland was paying attention yesterday. So far:
11 pitches/10 strikes, 0-2 on all 3 hitters.

That's the beauty of this lineup. Pitching around frank will get you no where as a pitcher.

MAN, this offense is great...we'll get you from all sides! See, it seems to me that teams like Cleveland are getting out of jams by having guys like Ellis Burks and Matt Lawton hitting homers for them (which WONT be happening all year) as opposed to just solid, situational hitting...

by the way, ken williams better get down on his knees and sign ken lofton to an extended contract...what is it, 12 straight games with a run scored for lofton? I've never seen a guy so consistantly turn walks into triples, steal bases on ball fours, and just generally create havoc on the bases... this guy is awesome, and now i remember why i hated him so much when he played for the indians...

Bleh! Coincidental. I think its more related to the fact that Garland is pitching really well, whereas yesterday (for example), Wright couldn't have hit the side of a barn.

I like that he called the Mags/Run connection coincidental than threw a huge coincedental out there as if it were a fact

Yeah, man. Staying out on the field for short amounts of time, not having to climb out of a huge hole.

I can remember games when our pitchers were getting rocked, and its really hard to get worked up at the plate when your getting shelled and getting bored out there on the field.

With this huge lead. And assuming that Manuel will not let Garland go for a CGSO. I hope that the Bullpen can keep the shutout going and not make this a nail bitter.

I would assume that depends on pitch count...I dont think Jerry is against a CGSO on its merits alone :D:

Farmer and Rooney were just talking about Lofton's shoulder after a slide into 2nd, but they didn't think he was hurt. Taken out as a caution...

Good...and Garland has only thrown 52 pitches thru 5 innings so if he keeps it up I don't see why we would need to take him out.

The Sox don't have another day off for like 2 weeks... Why would Manuel go to the bullpen so early? I hope he lets Jon stay in for a while, and give the 'pen some rest.

I was refering to the fact that we probably need not be too concerned about K-LO leaving the game. But Jerry could get up himself and play RF at this point.

Can I ask a question? Why did we stick Howry in there for 8th and 9th? If I were JM, I would want to save our setup man for a much closer game. Instead, he puts him in for 2 innings in a 10 run game. I would much rather have seen someone like Porizo or Osuna in there.

I don't mind the move. Howry is not officially our setup man. Porzio worked 2 innings yesterday. Osuna I'd like to save since he seems to pitching decently and has had alot of innings so far. I probably would've put Glover in but that's just me.
