No weather problems tonight but it will be chilly

Tonight - At Fenway Park as the Red Sox host the Rockies in Game #2 of the 2007 World Series, it will be mainly clear with an almost full moon rising in the sky with a light breeze and a slight temperature drop from near 51 down to about 49. With lots of moonshine and calm conditions many areas especially inland, the lows will be in the 30s with frost in the usual lowlands. Boston's low will be near 45.

2 clowns from the Bronx tried to sell fake tickets

Two New York men were arrested Wednesday night for allegedly selling counterfeit tickets to the World Series outside Fenway Park, and two others are accused of scalping tickets.

All four men were arraigned in Boston Municipal Court Thursday morning and were banned from Fenway Park and Kenmore Square.

Jamal Bennett and Wendell Baker, both from the Bronx, were charged with selling fake tickets and resisting arrest after police say they took a swipe at an officer. Both are being held on $2,500 bail.

Game 1 of the World Series on Wednesday was a blowout win for the Boston Red Sox -- and a pretty big victory for FOX too.

FOX averaged a 10.5 rating/17 share for the night (with the live broadcast, those numbers may change some), easily beating CBS, 7.8/12, for the top spot. ABC finished third at 6.8/11. NBC, 4.9/8, came in fourth, and The CW trailed with a 2.5/4.

Something like that goes to show you just how good the Cubs were in the first half of the 20th century, and how far they have fallen since then.

This is similar to the Giants. Since they moved to San Francisco 50 years ago, they have only appeared in the World Series 3 times, losing in 62, 89, and 02.

Is it just me or is Boston the slowest team to watch in the league? I swear every time I watch a game with the Red Sox it is a 3 1/2 to 4 hour game for nine innings. The pitchers seem to wander around on the mound. The batters are always lollygagging in the box. It just seems to take forever to get through an inning.

Maybe watching Buehrle pitch all the time has spoiled me. I don't know but I thought I'd see what you guys thought.

Although last night's game was MILES ahead of Wednesday nights in the improvement category, unless the Rox can get their bats going, this series is not looking promising.

Papelbon's act is old. He tries so hard to be a bad ass, but he's just a weird, creepy guy.

Everything he does is obviously for the sole purpose of getting on camera. Last night in the dugout he took his hat off and had some crazy hat hair and played around with it, an obvious attempt to get fox to put the cameras on him and look at how "eccentric" he is.

What a douche.

I actually like Papelbon. It seems like he has fun out there in the bullpen. What's wrong with that? He is also a lights out closer too although he seems to be more of a thrower than a pitcher. I know I've enjoyed watching him mow down Indians and Rockies hitters this postseason. Save the hating for a guy who deserves it like the lazy and arrogant Manny Ramirez.

Like mentioned in the post above yours...it's all an act. It doesn't look like he's trying to have some fun, it looks like he's trying to get the cameras on him. He just annoys the hell out of me. He's a good closer, but he's not fun to watch.

And BTW, if by 'mow down' you mean give up blazing fly balls to straight away center, then I guess he is mowing them down.

Papelbon will blow at least one save this series (because he's not pitching well right now). And it will happen in Coors, where his outfielders have a lot more ground to cover.

Game 2 of the World Series didn't get quite the ratings of Wednesday's opener, thanks mostly to increased competition. But FOX still won the night.

FOX averaged a 10.1 rating/16 share in primetime (those numbers may change some due to the live broadcast). CBS finished second in households at 8.7/14, but ABC, 8.2/13, had a few more total viewers. NBC's 5.1/8 was good enough for fourth, and The CW trailed with a 1.7/3.
