Per the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Tony LaRussa is all but certain to remain (http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sports/stories.nsf/cardinals/story/6FE6550FD53CB1A98625720D0020AEC7?OpenDocument) the manager of the St. Louis Cardinals. TLR says he has had encouraging talks with Cardinals chariman Bill DeWitt, Jr. LaRussa probably figured it is easier to deal with Bernie Miklasz than Mike Lupica & Co.

Miklasz is absolutely terrible... bad journalist...bad writer.. as an aspiring journalist I have no clue how he holds down a job in a respectable market...

Gammons said the same thing regarding LaRussa. He also said Rick Hahn is the frontrunner right now for the STL GM job.

Losing Rick Hahn would be a big loss to the Sox according to Steve Stone. But Stone also said if Hahn gets the job it would give the Sox a good trading partner. IMO tho, St. Louis doesn't have much if anything to offer us.
