Thats sad, not that theres any kind of attachment to him as a player, but as a fan, its sad to see someones career end like this

When NHL player Bryan Berard took a stick to the eye, his vision went down to 20/600.

He came back to the league after about a year.

Always gotta keep the hope there.

You never want to see a career end like this obviously, but it seems to me that they are making so many improvements in the field of eye care that there might be some kind of surgery out there that I haven't heard of that might fix this. We'll see, it's a shame...without my glasses I think I have something like 20/220 vision.

I was thinking of Kirby as soon as I saw the thread come up. Let's see what happens - He might be able to salvage himself. He wouldn't be the first physically limited baseball player to make himself a career.
