She gets a little misty about 3 minutes in. Not as funny as I thought it would be.

John Sterling belongs in jail for his clownish announcing technique.

Suzyn knows her stuff.....

The irony is she grew up a big Red Sox fan but was hired by a NY station when WEEI turned her down.

UGH. Just when I thought that there could be no one worse than Santo (or "*******," as my father would call him), here comes Ma and Pa Yankee.

Excuse me while I:puking:

Waldman's attitude was in contrast with Torre's. Torre's attidude was like "Well, if I get fired I get fired."

I wonder if George will fire her.

Hopefully we won't have Singleton for much longer. Remember it's the Sox option now with him. His deal is up. Lots of talk from some folks I know that Singleton is gone.

It's possible, although not guaranteed, that the Sox will make Steve Stone an offer based on the response from Sox fans to the front office when he worked that week with Hawk filling in for DJ.

I would love Steve Stone. I don't really like Singleton either, but he is much better than this woman.

I'd rather have Stone in the TV booth, preferably as Ken's replacement, but will settle for Jackson's replacement.

Is Suzyn Waldman the reporter who gave the opinion "It looks like a penis, only smaller" regarding Mark Gastineau?

Suzyn Waldman was unapologetic yesterday for choking up and sobbing briefly in her report Monday night on WCBS-AM after the Indians (http://topics.nytimes.com/top/news/sports/baseball/majorleague/clevelandindians/index.html?inline=nyt-org) knocked the Yankees (http://topics.nytimes.com/top/news/sports/baseball/majorleague/newyorkyankees/index.html?inline=nyt-org) out of the playoffs. Thats who I am, she said by telephone. Its unusual, but not for me. I am emotional. Im a conduit between the players and the fans, and everyone was crying.

This sounds almost like something the Horsemaster would have told us. He did teach us that Dusty Baker will die in a ditch after all.

The WEEI whiner line was hysterical yesterday with Waldman being the main topic

I think the best part of the clip is after she stops blubbering...Sterling says

"Well you know Suzyn...all good things must come to an end"

I would love it if it came true Lip, but I'm not sure Stone would jump at the chance. The Tribune was again reporting today that one of the potential Cub ownership groups would hire Stone as the GM. I don't know how true it is, but I would think Stone would wait it out until it's final....which doesn't seem to be anytime soon.

Dude:

If the sale doesn't happen for another year, the man still has to work. This would be a fine opportunity. He gets an out clause if this were to happen.

The Sox should still pursue this.

He probably gets all the work he wants now. Plus, when he's on the radio isn't he just working from home? It doesn't get much better than that.
