I did not see this posted anywhere, so I'll post it here.

According to the Tribune's Mark Gonzales, the White Sox are likely to name Pittsburgh third base coach Jeff Cox as Razor Shines successor.

"His enthusiasm is palpable. On the field, he can be seen standing in his box during batting practice leaping as he waves home phantom runners. Off the field, his mannerisms are akin to a cartoon character, his hands clapping, feet tapping and mouth moving at a manic pace in incessant cheerleading."

It was just reported on the Score that it looks to be a done deal.

A little bio on him...

Thanks for the bio. Looks like he and Ozzie met while Ozzie was with the Marlin's (it sounds like it). I'm still puzzled by the Razor Shines dismissal ...

The bio is in serious need of a copy editor.

This guy appears to have a strong resume, but that is all I know about him. It shouldn't hurt to bring in someone from another organization, especially if the team is looking to do things different in instructing fundamentals. Of course, that is what the White Sox generally got with Jerry Manuel, who also was an obscure major league second baseman in his playing days.

Read Greg Pryor's interview with WSI. He talks about Cox who is a friend of his as a postscript to one of his best moments in a Sox uniform.
