What AL and NL team will be in the WS and which one will win by what score? (Note: not what team you're rooting for, but which one will be there)

What kind of luck is with the Cubs? The fact that they are lucky that the Brewers' Manager is the dumbest person on Planet Earth (has he been fired yet? It's 7:45 p.m., the season has been over about two hours or so already)? They are lucky that they play in the National League? Don't confuse lucky with luck.

Considering that I had bet on the Indians and Phillies to win their respective pennants (both at 14-1 odds in Vegas at the time), I'm gonna go with that matchup. That would easily make up for my White Sox pennant and WS Champ bets that I placed...

What is with all this faith in Cleveland? How dare us peons dis the twin darlings of AOL/ESPN, the YANK SAWX?!

That said, I'm still calling Indians...vs. the hated denizens of the ivy. Wishing for the Tribe ~ or anyone else ~ to kick their butts, but fearing a capricious, vindictive deity, I'm picking Eric Zorn's Crubs. Six seems to be the number, so...make it five. May the world end first!!

Rockies over the Yanks in 6.

The Rockies, trailing 3 games to two, make the world series after a bizarre game 6 victory over the Chicago Cubs where a drunk Cub fan reaches over the bleacher basket with a fishing net to catch a would-be Brad Hawpe out or double in the bottom of the 7th of an 8-3 cub lead. Soriano flips out at the fan. Umpires rule homerun. An obviously shaken Zambrano goes on to give up five more runs in the inning after Lou inexplicably leaves him in. Three of the runs are unearned after DeRosa boots a potential inning ending double play. The Rockies ride the momentum to an easy game 7 and world series win, making them the second recent expansion team to win the world series after beating the cubs!

What's with all the Cleveland love? New York swept the season series, I say the Indians will be lucky if they win a game.
