October26 mentioned something about a tent sale in the postgame thread. What's the story with this? Is it game used stuff like the garage sale or is it just merchandise? Where is the tent set up?

It is a BIG sale outside Gate 4 (35TH/Shields). Not game used items, just reduced prices. I got a fitted hat that was $45. However, I paid just $10!!!

The prices for items are $5, $10, $15 or $20. I also went shopping after the game too :D: bought a 2 hats, 3 shirts, all for under $40.00. Some of the discounts are great 50% and 75%. It's hard to afford sports stuff at regular prices, sometimes (mortgages, car payments, bills etc). This tent sale made it possible for me to buy Sox items for my family at reduced prices. It was nice.

There is nothing worth buying until Sunday.

I'll be at the game tonight (Saturday) if anyone has any questions........

I went there after the game last night and picked up a polo shirt originally priced at $75 for $20. They had a lot of shirts and hats and a few other item.

Inside the park last night, they were selling some of the cheaper looking '05 postseason t-shirts for $5. The best deal, though, may have been the '05 World Series Champs lockerroom hat for $5.

ChiSoxGirl and I left the Bullpen Sports Bar about an hour after the fireworks ended and there were STILL a ton of people at that tent sale at that time! It looked like there was a ton of stuff left in those tents. She purchased a cool World Series Champions train, which I think was only $5!

Mini-hijack -- caught you on TiVo at the game Thursday night --wearing a blue and white hat, hair back, white top -- camera stayed on your row several seconds as the bottom of the fourth started.

It might've been my long-lost twin, since I wasn't at the game on Thursday night. I was at the Wednesday and Friday games.

They have some green tents from Halfway to St. Patrick's Day, but they have giant Miller Lite logos on them, so they really look like crap.

I checked it out on the way in today. No polos left (which is what I was mainly after) but I did pick up some cool ASG/interleague/ALCS pins for $2 each.

I went there Friday and got a Mark Buehrle bobblehead. A Bartolo Colon? OMG what if they have a Todd Richie?

I grabbed a couple of these today. They had some different '03 ASG pins and a 2000 Sox vs. Cardinals pin.

The sign said only this past weekend.

I wish my darn head was smaller (I wear a size 8). I've retired my fitted Sox WS game hat after wearing it to Game 2. They had those hats for $10! I wanted another one (especially for $10) but nothing close to my size. Bought a couple of pins. Didn't see any bobbleheads left, although people were moving quick, so you kinda got pushed through. For those who wear a size 40 (actually, they also had one size 44) they had the authentic vest jerseys for $50.

PLENTY of shirts for $5. Not bad. I just wish my head was smaller. :)

Also got a 2000 AL Central Champions locker room at for $5.

There was definitely a lot of low-end merchandise there.

The other bad part about today was that the band's speakers were set up right next to the tent, and it was impossible to be in there for more than five minutes without losing your hearing or your mind.

I got a bbq set that consisted of an apron, spatula, a sauce brush and a big fork for five bucks. The utensils all say White Sox on them and the apron is black with a white MLB logo on it.

I laughed when I walked past that tent. Right under a sign that said "authentic Sox merchandise" I saw a Sox T-shirt that said "Volitto" or something like that with the #44 on it. I must have missed the Volitto era.......

That was the season ticket holder gift in 2004 or 2005.

Didn't the apron that we got that year have the Sox logo on it?

It did...and I believe it said "Season Ticket Holder" as well.

The one I bought just has the MLB logo on it, it doesn't even say White Sox anywhere.
