Score is 4-3 in the Padres at San Fran game. Two outs runner on first for the Padres in the top of the 9th. San Fran has Brian Wilson on the mound.

Wilson has looked good despite giving up a run. He completely loses his control versus some guy and walks him.

So we got two outs runners on first and second and up steps Brian Giles. Two pitches way out of the strike zone and the count is 2-0. Then to keep the Padres in first in the Wild Card, Giles takes it to McCovey Cove. And it was a no doubter.

Unbelievable. And the fact Giles is something like four for his last 35 is sick.

I know the Sox aren't in this but this NL race is fun to watch.

Man, I was hoping the Padres would lose so there could be a three-way tie for the wild card. As it stands, Philly and Colorado (assuming they hold on to beat the Dodgers; 9-6 in the 9th as I type) are one game back.
