I hope this (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20945076/?GT1=10357) couple doesn't discover WSI. Their last name is Fields, but instead of naming their new son Josh, they named him "Wrigley."

Lord help them when he realizes he was born to idiots.

My cousin, who lives in California, named his daughter Addison. Another cousin named his dog Wrigley. Perhaps I'm the rebellious one.

You know some idiot family out there is going to name their child "Cellular Fields".

I read this the other day in the other day in the Sun Times and couldn't believe it. "Wrigley Fields". Poor kid. Named after a dump. I'm sure he won't get made fun of on the playground.

Trust me though...this type of Cub fluff article is the calm before the storm. This is a mere sampling of what awaits us when they clinch the Central.

I'll bet the doctors already had the "KICK ME" signs prepared before they left the hospital (just like they did for PGA golfer David Ogrin when he named his son Clark Addison).

Why can't more parents be like me and name all 6 kids "Hurtus Maximus?" Nobody messes with my offspring.

This kid should just put his head in the toilet and wait for the football team when he gets to high school.

that poor kid :(:

Wrigley Alexander Fields was born Sept. 12 at an Indiana hospital.

Cubs spokeswoman Katelyn Thrall said the name may be a first. The team has no record of other children named Wrigley, although there have been some children names Zambrano and Ryne after Cubs stars Carlos Zambrano and Ryne Sandberg

Maybe his middle name should be "loser" ?

My wife e-mailed m the following

The least they could have done would be to give the
kid a middle name beginning with "C" so he could be WC
Fields; but then the idiots would have probably used
"Cubby" as a middle name and REALLY totally wrecked
the poor kid for life.

These parents are practically guaranteeing that this
poor kid will become a rabid White Sox fan.

There are a lot of whacko parents out there.

And I mean OUT THERE.

My wife went to the University of Chicago and Kent Law and went to every White Sox game she could. Ironic thing is I met her at Wrigley

Proving, once again, you can't pick your parents.

The dad is being interviewed on Chanel 5 right now. Total loser.

Now it's being reported that a girl who was born on the night the Cubs were eliminated by the Marlins was also named "Wrigley" but I don't think the last name is Fields.

This is further proof that while you need a license to cut hair, anyone can become a parent.

They just had some idiot on WGN this morning who wrote in to the show.

They named their daughter Addison N. Clark.

What the **** is the matter with these people?

I don't get it. Parents are free to name their children whatever they choose but a small amount of foresight would show that the kid is going to have issues later. From childhood to adulthood the name is going to require explanations and provoke double-takes everywhere.

Maybe the parents were inspired by Johnny Cash. In "A Boy Named Sue" here's how the father explained his name choice when the now-grown kid finally caught up with him:

"And he said: "Son, this world is rough
And if a man's gonna make it, he's gotta be tough
And I knew I wouldn't be there to help ya along.
So I give ya that name and I said goodbye
I knew you'd have to get tough or die
And it's the name that helped to make you strong."

Ahh, but unfortunately, it didn't stay there.

I had someone come up to me at work today and ask if I had heard about this. I told her I had and said that it didn't surprise me one damn bit; it was just further proof, if further proof be needed, that Cub fans are idiots.

Did anyone hear about this on Conan (I think it was last night?)

His joke went something like "He will be cute and fun at first, but end up being a complete dissapointment in the end."
