Says pretty much everything we as Sox fans already know. It'd be nice if the AP picked up on this one.

The comment about the "tourist trap" hits the nail square on the head.

Great article. Unfortunately reality means nothing to cub fans.

Wait a minute. Cubbie fans are saying they're "underdogs?" When?

It's all about the tourist trap in which the Cubs play. The charms of Wrigley Field tend to obscure the fact that for all of their resources, the Cubs return a historically mediocre product. Put the Cubs in any other stadium and they would be castigated for years of mismanagement instead of being held up as a paragon of the little-guy spirit.

The best part of the article by far. Pretty much how I feel about it all! If it weren't for Wrigley and Wrigleyville, half those fans wouldn't even go to the games!

I got a nice email back from him too. He is going to wonder "how did all of these White Sox fans discover me?" :D:

Since I am a SOX FAN and a Packer fan, I read JSOnline all the time to get HONEST reporting, unlike the craptastic rags that are killing millions of trees on articles better served as toilet paper. The Journal Sentinal have some pretty great writers up there, Mr. Hunt being one of them.

He replied with this little gem from another article he wrote:

"I think I also called it a "decaying pit" in a previous column."

you gotta like honesty in reporting.

Cub fans probably dont understand what the article means.
