It's always good to beat Bartolo Colon.

Nice win. Great outing by Jenks. Let's be spoilers.

1) who or what is AI?
2) why do we have a win thread for a game from 1 yr ago?

I think AI is Allen Iverson. Don't know why this one is for him though.

It's over-rated and makes you worse.

Fixed it for you!

Though a little brisk, it was worth it. Just enough offense and quality pitching all around. Hopefully they can go out with a bang this year and not finish in last place!

I'm a bit upset that there were no fireworks after the game, though, even though they advertised it on the rolling message part of the out-of-town scoreboard both this past Tuesday night, as well as last Friday night.

We talkin' 'bout practice, man. Not a game, practice.

But wait, the sox did win the game, not just practice? I'm confused.

1. I dunno.
2. We had a better record then.

It was good to see the offense show some patience tonight. Big Bart had around 100 pitches by the 5th inning. Jose was dealing!

Even with an off day in between two in a row rates two danging nanners.

I love:

Jose when he's dealing.
Bad Bobby, now with a mohawk :o:.
Ehren Wasserman.
A 3-4-1 double play.
Runs that don't come on homers.
Jim Thome looking for #500.
Josh Fields learning to play LF.
The crowd at the Cell.

Yep, I still love a lot of things about White Sox baseball, even in this awful season. :D:

I thought Fields didn't look so good on that diving play. He caught it and that's what matters, though. Looked great throwing out Vlad. His batting has suffered lately. I wonder if that has to do with the move to LF. I figured he'd have a decent OBP eventually since he took a lot of walks in AAA, but I guess that was mostly because AAA pitchers were tired of getting beat by him.

The split-finger pitch was really working last night. Mercy!

He's played like 15 games out there; he's learning on the fly, so give the guy a break.

Right, I realize that. I wasn't criticizing him--just describing what I saw.
