The Sox are one of the few teams in the league to have a "special interleague rivalry" that they play home and home series' every year regardless of which NL division is the current years interleague division.
I have some questions about this setup...
How many teams have the special rivalrys?
NY V NY
LA V ANA
OAK V SF
Anyone else? CLE V CIN? KC V STL?
If so, where do they shave games from the schedule to accomodate this difference? Who does Detroit play that we do not (for example)? I assume it is a matter of number of games against common opponents, not number of teams?
Just curious and I am leaving for work, so I will pick up the answers later - thanks in advance...
