On achieving your 3,000th strikeout this afternoon. I was fortunate enough to actually be in attendace for this historic moment today!:bandance::bandance:

He is just the 15th pitcher ever to achieve that milestone. There are less people with 3,000-plus strikeouts than there are people with 300 wins, 500 home runs, or 3,000 base hits. Truly an accomplishment.

This could start a big argument, but I think he is the best pitcher from the last 15 or 20 years.

When he was healthy and in his prime in Boston, he couldn't be touched.

His peak was better than Clemens', but Clemens has him on longevity by more than a little bit.

He has an incredible 2.81 career ERA. Without a doubt, Pedro's a first ballot hall-of-famer.

I was born in 85 and Pedro is the best I remember. I would probably rank the 5 best since I remember (so we will say the last 10 years) as Pedro-Clemends-Maddux-Santana-and either Smoltz/Glavine/Big Unit

Congrats, I hated him on boston, but he was awesome.

Hard to argue with any of those picks, they are the class of the current generation of starters.

I think Jake Peavy might have a shot to join them.

Yup - not sure what actual order I'd put them in - but all of them belong in the team picture.
