I can tell you why Carter isn't playing. You know that brawl between Kanny and Greensboro? The day before that Carter was hit in the face. Kanny retaliated the next game, and that was what precipitated the bench-clearing incident.

Thanks for the info. As far as I can tell he didn't stay in the hospital very long. We could ill afford to lose him as he's one of our best (if not our best) position prospect. Hopefully they just held him out as a precaution.

Kanny had a pretty good year especially considering they had no pitching other than FDLS. These guys plus Poreda and possibly Moreno ought to make W-S the Sox affiliate to watch next year.
