What kind of player does Thomas Collaro project to be? I know it's a small sample size, but since being called up to AAA he's hitting pretty well. Seems to have pretty good pop, and is hitting for average now.

Well, he has hit in the minors, like Joe Borchard hits in the majors. He has really impressive power, but he strikes out a ton(more than he hits actually), walks very little, and has no real average or OBP to speak of. He appears to have a cannon arm from what I have seen of him.

Poreda 5IP 3H 1R 1ER 0BB 7K finishes with a 1.17 ERA

Is there any objection to him starting in WS next year?

We have a lot of high ceiling pitchers in the farm system. I know we haven't done a great job with position players, middle IF in particular, but I don't see any reason not to be optimistic about our future when it comes to the young arms we have in the system.

Now they need to develop as they continue to move up.

Starting with Gio, and working down, we have guys at every level who look like they are legitimate MLB starter prospects.

Yeah, you can be a one pitch pitcher in Montana, but not in the show. He needs to come up with some offspeed stuff that will work. He's got a lot of potential, but he's very, very raw.

Im encouraged his with his K rate - Even though it's not great competition - He's improved on that since USF

Nope, and that's most likely where he will be. It's the same path that McCulloch followed.

Sisco was supposed to come up as a starter - but got sidetracked to the pen when the Royals claimed him from the Cubs in the Rule 5 draft. Who knows - maybe he will end up a decent starter some day?
