August 29, 1915 - Sox pitcher Jim Scott fires a 5 - 0 shutout over the Philadelphia As. And he does it in only 68 minutes!! Its the fastest game ever played in team annals.

August 29, 1965 - In a double header at Comiskey Park, Sox shortstop Ron Hansen sets the major league record when he handles 29 chances. Boston provides the opposition. The Sox win both games 3 - 2, with game one going 14 innings.

August 29, 1975 - Outfielder Ken Henderson becomes the first Sox player to hit a home run from both sides of the plate in the same game. Ross Grimsley and Wayne Garland are the victims at Baltimore in a game the Sox would win 4 - 2.

man I'd hate to pay today's prices for a 68 minute game........I wish I were 20 someting & could sit through those good ol' 18 beer doubleheaders
