Both he and the Tigers GM were shown the door today.

Somehow, this will turn into some Sox losses...

Too bad. I would have liked to see Garner suffer through all 125 losses this year.

Luis Pujols is the new coach.

Really curious timing on this move. My guess was Garner would be fired either before the season or afterwards so that Detroit would be building under their guy. And I thought since Dombrowski didn't immediately fire Randy Smith, the GM, Dave would find some use for Smith other than allowing him to make dumb trades. Maybe he wanted to do this all along and just saw the 0-6 start as opportunity to justify things and not take fire for being a new guy shaking things up too dramatically.

Wow! That didn't take long! The 2002 season claims its 1st manager. My money now is on Davey Lopes in Milwaukee to be next. The Brewers season ticket sales are down 30% this year. Bud Selig will want a winner with HIS team to keep interest up while the park is still new.

6 games into the season has to be the fastest firing ever, right?

Buh-bye, Scrap Iron, we hardly knew ye...

My money is on Tony Muser, the Royals have done nothing but lose under him.

Dombrowski (Tigers prez) is a smart man. Besides this firing, he has build good teams from scratch, and I wouldn't be surprised to do it again in Detorit with the Farm they have.

So much for bashing Garner in the Sox-and-Roll news letter I sent out to all those who have emailed the show.

Anyone notice i spelled Rauch's name wrong also? DUH!

If only our leadership would react to incompetence so swiftly

Maybe we can hire him - we could use a little jolt of anger...

Bring him in as a pitching coach. He can't be any worse then Nardi, and every ******* in the league will get drilled. lol

That's not a bad idea, we could throw at everyone and then Porzio ect. could keep their pitch counts down!
