And probably less than half that many interviews, if his stint in Chicago was anything like his stint in Philadelphia...

One of my prized possesions is the drinking glass Fisk used at the hotel bar after this game. A couple of friends and I went to the games, and although we were under 21 snuck in the bar, had a few, then worked up enough nerve to congratulate the gruff-looking Fisk. He was nothing but smiles that night however, and after he left I grabbed the glass and walked out. Silly stuff for sure, but one of those things you look back on fondly.

It was soooo hot that day, and Game 1 was a doozy as well...13 innings, Rangers win 1-0. Nolan Ryan (who pitched 10 innings and K'd 15 Sox) plunked Craig Grebeck (Little Hurt!) and a fight broke out. Set the stage for the Ventura-Ryan fight the next year.

Britt:

The stage was actually dressed after Grebeck and Ozzie went back to back in 1990 off Ryan.
