Interesting, must have been just after they finished the upper deck in the outfield.

Outfield upper deck built over winter of '26-'27, making Babe's shot in the 1st year of opportunity. Interesting in scanning the few links on the park's history there are bits of trivia and changes over the years that are usualy incomplete or a little inaccurate, e.g. how many times and when the name changed back and forth between Sox Park and Comiskey Park and when the bulpens where on the sidelines or in CF when the plate was moved etc, the last two of which happened several times. Many accounts quote the over 6000 MLB games there, but how many negro league games there (probably as many or as more as any other baseball palace).

Field and outfield grandstands and bleachers at Comiskey Park, viewed from the upper deck behind home plate taken in 1928. Only 63 years till the wrecking ball knocks it all down!!!!:whiner:
