You honestly believe the Twinkees are going to catch both the Toons and the kittens and yet the toons will somehow manage to beat out the Angels kittens and Yankees for the WC?

ROTFLMFAO. The chances of that happening are about the same as Angelina Jolie walking into your house, taking her clothes off, and then saying "take me."

Keep in mind I put little thought into this, and I just picked the Tigers because they were my preseason pick to win it all.

Voodoo, I hate the Twins like poison, but they always seem to hang around. And I also honestly believe that the D'Backs can win it all. The resemblance to the 2005 Sox--as far as attitude goes--is scary. As for the scenario I outlined, stranger things have happened! Like the Cards winning it all last year, for instance.
ndgt--Being of the female persuasion, I have no interest whatsoever in Angelina Jolie, fully clothed or otherwise.

Everyone thought this about the Cards last year and look what happened.
If a team gets hot they can pull one out.

Because they don't use the Designated Hitter, the National League does not get a Wild Card team?

My goodness! You guys act as if the NL is just loaded with all these 100 win teams.:?::?: LMAO! The 89 win, 2003 Cubs knocked off the 101 win Braves, a far superior team to anything the NL can throw out there this year.
The Padres?
The Mets?
The Cubs?
The DBacks?
I'm sorry, which team in this group would you say is unstoppable? I have the answer: No one!!

The media does not fool me, but the NL is a league in which if you let the Pirates into the playoffs, they would be entirely capable of making noise.
It's about the NL, not the Cubs. Secondly, the Cubs do have SOME TALENTED players on that team. I can think of 7 that could start for the Sox right now.

Still four teams yet to clinch a spot in the NL. What a day this will be with all the possibilities.
I'd like to finalize my predictions, but I can't.:D:

There are plenty of current threads on playoff matchups. There was no reason to bring back an old one.
