The voice says Grand and State now.:(: Same thing goes for the Chicago stop. No more "This is Chicago." If people were really confused by that I feel sorry for them.

The #1 45 in Boston in 1967
The Carl Yastrzemski Song (http://staffannouncer.com/blog/audio/yazsong.mp3)

On a different subject, I noticed the above link in your signature and liked this corny song about Yaz. Even though Boston lost the WS in 1967, Yaz seemed pretty popular nationwide in the baseball world, and as an example I remember this show with Yaz few months after the WS, a Don Rickles spoof about physical fitness (link below). Don said some "diversity insensitive" comments about Yaz but Yaz took it in good fun and they all sang "ya gotta be a football hero" at the end. I still can't spell "Pierzynski" without peeking, but always was able to spell Yaz's full name because he was such a favorite, even though his team captured the AL flag from the White Sox in 1967.

I'm listening to the Carl Yastremski song. The last time my ears bled this bad, Devin Hester was singing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame".

The YAZ song was done by WHDH DJ Jess Cain and became so popular that WBZ, WRKO and WMEX all played it.
