Kornacki [channel 9 sports reporter] was struck near her left eye by a red plastic pellet fired from a toy gun operated by [Emil] Brown during the last Royals home stand. Brown apologized to Kornacki and indicated he didn’t expect the pellet to ricochet and hit her.

“My understanding is that any such pellet guns will no longer be allowed in the clubhouse,” Royals vice president of communications Mike Swanson said Monday.

It begs the question as to why it was there in the first place.

Yeah, really. It's the Royals. What self respecting journalist would be shot red in their clubhouse?

I have a better idea. This should be posted:

This message is brought to you by the Emil Brown Center for Dumbass Management

1. Use your brain when you are in this clubhouse. Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong if you let it.

2. If it could cause you injury or pain personally, then it can do the same to someone else. Therefore, it is banned before you even bring it in.
