"I didn't see it, but I heard it was like a 'Naked Gun' movie," said Francona. "I got enough to think about -- lefthanders, righthanders -- let alone a [expletive] moose on a [expletive] motorcycle."

When approached after the game, Crisp first said, "I have no comment about the moose." Then he expanded his thoughts to say, "I'm not an angry person. I'm not gonna run over and clothesline the guy . . . Yeah, I hit the ground, but my knee didn't touch so I kept on running. It was an accident."
Asked if he might to go dinner with the Mariner Moose the next time the Sox were here, Crisp said, "Yeah, and we'll eat moose jerky."

Did you see the look the Red Sox pitching coach had? Total moose-homicide in those eyes.

It was pretty funny seeing it happen. Luckily, no one was hurt.

THat's true, I thought Coco was laughing when he got up.

This could've been bad. Real bad.

There's no reason to have anyone running around on an ATV when the players are on the field, especially somebody in a mascot suit with almost zero peripheral vision.

If Crisp got injured and put on the DL as a result of the incident, I would have pursued some sort of punitive action against the Mariners if I were the Red Sox.

Beat me to it Nellie. Not really safe to be driving a motorized vehicle with that silly-ass mask on. Thankfully nobody was hurt and I'm sure if it was a White Sox player that got run over we'd be calling for that moose's antlers.

Francona's quote is classic! Very Samuel L. Jackson-like! :D:

Maybe if the moose gets fired he can work for the Tigers. Something about a drive-by justs fits so well with Detroit.

“The Mariners are very sorry about this unfortunate incident. We apologized Sunday to both Coco Crisp and the Red Sox, and they were very gracious about accepting our apology,” Tim Hevly, the team’s director of baseball information, said last night.

“There will be no punishment for the Moose,” Hevly said.

In the second video, who is the person that took the moose's ATV away? It's not Crisp who runs into the outfield.
