If so, I'm sure we are in the top 3. So many missed opportunities...

You would be wrong. Sox are tied for fifth with 100 GIDP, behind Oakland (107), St. Louis (105), Boston (104), and KC (101). Atlanta is the other team with 100.

Cleveland has the fewest GIDP, with 70. The next seven fewest are all NL teams. Then Texas and Detroit with 82.

Defensively, coming into today's game, White Sox first basemen were involved in 109 double plays. There may have been a few line drives in that total, but it looks like Sox opponents have grounded into more double plays than the Sox have.

Speed scattered through the lineup helps overcome that. One of the issues for Kenny this off season.
