I felt a bit nostalgic. About 10 minutes ago Rowand hit a three run homer to center at the Shrine, scoring Ryan Howard and Iguchi. Pretty cool to see Aaron and Gooch on the same team now.

I tuned in just in time to see Gooch jack it out. I didn't even know about the Rowand HR. Couldn't have scripted this one any better.

And the classy Cub fans start chanting "Let's go Cubbies" as a player is down on the field.

And that surprises you? They probably didn't even realize what happened. Did you think they actually watch the baseball game at the urinal?

If they'd like Uribe and Contreras, they can have them, too!

When the right fielder went down I thought Dye would be in a Phillies uniform by the 9th inning.

Good work boys, keep it up for the next three games!

This is really sweet. The win tonight was great, and a sweep of the Cubs at Wrigley with continued contributions by Roward and Iguchi would be good payback for the Cubs sweep of the Sox at the Cell. If Freddy Garcia wasn't injured and could start, for him to win one of those games would be even sweeter.

Whats our motto? Chicago White Sox 2007: Well they didn't quite work out for the Phils?

True. This was sweet watching Gooch and Rowand beat the Scrubs. I will have a lot of fun with this at work tomorrow.

Perhaps you could get a couple photos of them holding the 2005 World Series trophy and show them off at work tomorrow!

Go Rowand and Gooch!

Good idea. I do have a replica trophy on my desk, Sox calendar, "Believe It" headline, etc. Maybe I'll put Gooch & Rowand up as my screensaver. Also, I work with a lot of Brewer fans so I will expect some love from them.:redneck

So are we going to root for Gooch and Roward to do the same thing in Milwaukee this week, which is beat the opposition?

Yes. Root for the Cubs to lose, too. That way, they will still be behind the Brewers for the division, and Philly will gain ground on them in the Wild Card standings.

So long as they are not playing the Sox I'll pretty much always root for players from the '05 Sox wherever they land. That said though, GO BREWERS!

"Gain ground" can be interpreted as "closing a deficit" or "extending a lead."

I stand by my diction. Staunch.
