I figure you probably can since purses are allowed, but I just wanted to be sure. Is there a size restriction? I just wanted something to carry an umbrella and a couple of clothing items. And a fifth of Jack. Just kidding on that last one.

Thanks!

You can bring a backpack. They will search it at the gate.

Seems as long as it's not very full and compacted it shouldn't be an issue.

Compact umbrellas, no way it is a problem. If you tried to carry in the shade umbrella from some patio furniture, they may take issue with that.

Erstad uses one of those in his cocktails.

I believe a personal umbrella used for shade is called a "parasol".

Had no problem... great but ****ty game, those first two homers landed inbetween my row in my section, damn! Aside from an inside check and a slight patdown I don't think anyone will ever have a problem taking a bookbag in. Additionally I think you can even take food in, if what I read from that Whitesox A-Z website was right.

Yeah, they allow food. There's restrictions like it has to be in a certain sized container, and you can only bring in bottled water (no soda).

Yeah but you can get ICE COLD water for only $3.25. Why on Earth would you choose otherwise?

Security was definitely on higher alert at Wednesday's game compared to Monday's.

A couple weeks ago I was traveling on a pure baseball trip to NY and Philadelphia. I had my backpack at Shea having just come off the plane and at Citizens Bank Park en route to get on a plane. Neither stadium gave me any trouble and that was during the Scotland terrorism issue. They give it a quick glance and let me through

Hey man, we all know that ICE COLD WATER is scarce... can't blame the supplier. You better come to USCF with moderately-luke-warm-but-definitely-not-cold water.

At Northwestern and other football stadia, no umbrellas of any kind are allowed. However, I think compact umbrellas are allowed while golf umbrellas would not be if I'm not mistaken.
