Just got a DHL box with a poster and ticket stub from Mark's no hitter for being a season ticket holder!:bandance:

I'm only a 27-game holder so I guess everyone gets them.

Sweet! I'm a 27-game holder as well. I was fortunate enough to be at Mark's no-hitter. When my poster arrives, I'll display it somewhere in my home with the actual ticket stub from the game. :supernana:

It's sad to see stuff like that. I realize that not everyone that has tickets is a huge sox fan or considers sox collectables valuable, but id much rather see someone donate it or give it to a sox fan that they know would be excited about receiving it.

btw, I think its a pretty cool idea for the sox to send something like that out to season ticket holders. Its one of the few times this season Ive regretted not purchasing my usual 27-game plan this season and opting to pay for law school instead.

You made the proper choice. Plenty of time later for tickets.

I'd imagine the winning bidder will really want the item... so much so that they would be willing to pay for an item that others received for free.... the only drawback would be if a memorabilia collector won it just to have Mark sign it and then re-sell.... but, I don't think Mark has that much retail value seeing as he is not a household superstar name

Who cares if someone sells the print? Season ticket holders spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on their tickets. If they want to get a few bucks for the print, so be it.

That being said, it's a cool little thing for the Sox to do (even if the print is pretty ugly.)

Are you a mid-week ticket holder, or a weekend holder? I have the 27 game plan on the weekends, and as of now, havn't received this.

Weekend. I also live on the far north end of the Sox's zip code, so maybe thats why I got it so fast.

I had my ex-rep line me up with Mark to sign my stub. It pays to treat your rep with respect vs. someone who works for you.

I probably live closer to Comiskey than all but maybe one handful of posters here and haven't received mine yet. The season ticket holders next to me who live in Rogers Park got theirs in the mail today. I hope I get mine tomorrow before I go on a huge day of shopping.

How does it look?

I've had a much larger (and I think cooler) poster of Buehrle that I had made myself since about a week after his no hitter hanging over my computer. Here's a link (https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/kshanks2/www/P1010096.JPG)to a picture of it if anyone wants to see. I don't think the picture quite does it justice, but it looks pretty cool regardless. Don't mind the cobwebs, my computer is in my basement right now till I go back to college. Also, it's about 2.5'x3.5' for those wondering (normal large poster size).

edit: that said, I still wish I was a season ticket holder so I could get my hands on one of those things. Anything to commemorate Mark is a good thing, IMO.

Spend more money - you get more benefits. I can hardly consider Ozzie plan holders getting screwed when you chose the package specifically because of the limits to the obligations you are putting on yourself.

How so? "Season Ticket Holder gifts" is a perk offered only to full and split holders. That's not to say the Sox couldn't be nice and send something to Ozzie holders but it shouldn't be expected.

The poster came via DHL yesterday. If I can get to a game extra early I'll see if I can get Mark to sign it. Then I'll frame it along with the ticket stub and hang it in my game room area with the rest of my Sox collection.

You will not see this on eBay- that's for sure.

I got mine this morning!!!! It looks AWESOME!!! My ticket stub is in section 106. Since all season ticket holders got a ticket, the Sox must have had a ton of unsold tickets. Un-popular game that happend the be one of the, if not the best game of the year!!! Once agin, great gift. :D:

It was a mid-week, brisk April evening that had an attendance of 25,390. Seems pretty reasonable idea there.

Still no signs of this here. I can't wait to see it though when it does come.

I can't remember when he hasn't done Fan Appreciation Day (last Sunday home game). Last year I got my WS ball, my daughter got her hat signed, and my mom got her ticket stub signed.
The beauty of it all is when I took a picture of my daughter with Mark, he picked her up and stood her on the wall (she was 3 at the time). What a wonderful thing for him to do. The picture is quite nice, has changed my daughters loyalty from Konerko to Buehrle.

Here's the pic:
