From the proverbial penthouse on a chilly October 2005 night to the AL Central outhouse less than 2 full seasons later.
Some numbers to ruminate over ...
OPENING DAY 2005 to the 2006 ALL-STAR BREAK (including the '05 postseason): 167-95, a .634 winning percentage.
POST 2006 ALL-STAR BREAK to PRESENT (7/22/2007): 76-95, a .444 winning percentage.
In other words, the White Sox managed to rack up 95 losses while playing 91 fewer games. Did I say that right?
***! My butt cheese is flaring up again. Thanks for nuttin', as Maggie once cried in Caddyshack.
