I hate to say it but every pitcher we sent down this year is better than this AA guy. Pretty pathetic.

I don't know why he's still up. The only reason is he might be a guy that we just turn to in an innings-eating situation.

Send him down now, Kenny. He doesn't belong in the Major Leagues.

He had control issues at AA. I'm not sure why the Sox expect him to be better in the MLs.

They brought him in yesterday in hopes that he would eat the last inning and a third. Instead, he got bombed, and Haeger had to eat the last inning.
I honestly don't know what Dewon Day brings to the team at this time. I guess he's still here because they want the guys who previously got sent down to suffer in the minors a little longer.

In such a crappy season, it doesn't surprise me that someone is *****ing about the 5th guy to be the last guy in the pen.

IIRC, he's a Rule 5 pickup.

And every time a Sox reliever is went down, people here rejoice thinking the Sox will call up someone better.

Isn't that what Masset is for?

He is struggling with some control issues right now but he should bounce back nice come mid-August.

He's definately no Johan Santana....
You still have to think there is SOMEONE on the farm that has more to show.

Unfortunately ndgt10, we've had more than a few innings eating situations. I would also say that I would rather see Masset than day (neither would be preferred). He gives up less than a run per inning.

The parade of mediocre and incapable minor league pitchers actually makes me long for the opening day bullpen on a daily basis.
