Ben Sheets was taking out of the Brewers game due to an issue with his finger. He apparently has a blister. Sheets going down is the last thing the Brewers need. Milwaukee is already doing everything humanly possible to give the NL Central away to the Cubs, and this is not a good sign.

So talented, and yet so often injured.

The Brewers pulled one out tonight, despite the Sheets injury. Hopefully, they can get a winning streak going. It would be nice to see them win that division.

The Brewers are awful on the road, and if Sheets goes, they're threw.

Sheets said after the game he's optimistic that it's not serious. They will do a MRI anyway.

Relax, everybody. The Brewers will be fine. They are a better team than the Cubs.

I'll be honest. Normally, I will stay out of the way of Cubs, their fans and all the crap that goes along with them. Focusing my passion for baseball on the Sox makes me happy and that's all I need. That said, I know plenty of Cubs fans who openly rooted against the Sox in the '05 post season. So, if the Brewers drop the ball and the Cubs get into October, I'll re-focus my passion for baseball by rooting for every team that plays against the Cubs.

Book it.

Sheets is out 4-6 weeks. The Brewers need a starting pitcher, and we have a couple we could trade 'em. Get on that phone, KW!

Do they? Yovani Gallardo gets put back in the rotation.

They have an excellent farm system. Certainly a deal can be worked out

Gallardo is a talented pitcher, but he's obviously inexperienced. I'm sure the Brewers would like another veteran that they could count on to give them six or seven innings every time out.

I think that was true even before the Sheets injury. The Brewers should go for it this year. It's a very winnable National League.
