FYI-Josh Fields RHP will be leaving Great Falls and heading to Birmingham this week for his rehab work. Great numbers so far!

I've always liked him, but he's 27 now. He might be better than some of the crap in our ML bullpen but he has precious little time to prove it.

That is not all that true, pitching being the commodity that it is he will have ample time to prove if he is capable or not. This isn't forty years ago when pitchers were done at 38 years old. Mark Buerhle could easily pitch into his forties should he choose to.

At age 27, how long has he been kicking around in the minors? What happened to him - did he get injured, or has he just been stuck in the minors all this time.

I think he got injured last season.

Correct, he had a rotator cuff injury and spent the last 2 years rehabing and now is in full form. His numbers in Charlotte and Birmingham have always been great. He is a favorite of the organization and in time will be in Chicago.
