Oh man, did anyone else just see the highlights from the game? Rain started and they brought the tarp out but high winds sent the thing flying. Essentially the entire Phillies dugout emptied to help hold it down (only one Rickie though). Pretty nuts.

Hysterical. Jimmy Rollins basically holding to look like he was working while Victorino was on a mission [from Guillen (sorry cheap Sox marketing campaign)] to get it down. Who was the Philly launched sand bags all over the place?

I don't know why all the Phillies came out when Aaron Rowand could do the job all by himself.

^ I heard he ran out, slipped on the tarp and busted his chin open.
Man I wish we could have that hustle/grinding on our team.

Not quite. He was seen doing tarp slides in the middle of the monsoon.

Sorry that would be Mark Buerhle. Yes he flew in just for the tarp ride. That guy never met a tarp he couldn't ride.

A clip is on the MLB site. It's actually pretty neat to see what happened. Where were the Rockies?

They were the home team. My bet is playing XBox 360 in leather chairs.

In seriousness this was a cool moment. They don't know most of those groundscrewmen is my guess, and those guys could have been seriously hurt being trapped under that tarp and being thrown around. A good showing of human nature

Anybody else remember what happened at the first Marlins game that had rain and the new groundcrew had a little trouble getting the tarp on the field.
Tim McCarver was doing the game back to New York on WWOR and his description of the groundcrew was hysterical.
