So who is looking good and who is not....

Boston

Red Sox have 58 games left with teams under .500. They will coast in

Looking very good
Cleveland
Anaheim
Detroit

Lurking
Minnesota
Seattle
Oakland

Life Support
Yankees
Toronto
White Sox ( sorry guys )

Pushing up daisies
Baltimore
Tampa Bay
Kansas City
Texas

The NL is a total crapshoot halfway done. The Mets are doing everything they can to blow it. Nobody is certain and really only Washington, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Houston and San Francisco seem out of it.

No need to sugarcoat it. We're pushing up daisies too.

The White Sox along with the Yankees are the biggest mysteries in baseball in 2007...

Agreed. Life support is a very generous assessment.

Fenway's list shows how it is almost dead certain the WC will come from the AL Central.

The NL may be a crapshoot, but they're better than they were last year. The NL West is arguably the best division in baseball right now.

Likely....the joker in the deck are the Mariners. Of course how they will react with a new manager remains to be seen.

I think it was very telling that Torre has told Cashman not to trade the kids for help this year...it looks more and more like NYY will not play a game 163

Detroit News looks at the entire AL

No longer is a Central wild card spot a done deal. This does not rank as news for followers of other divisions and their teams, who would have suggested all along that the Central Division's supposed might wasn't necessarily right when it came to comparing American League teams.

Now, as the Tigers hold a slim edge over Seattle, Oakland, Minnesota, Toronto, etc., for what would be a wild card spot today, we see that the Central runner-up could face serious heat down the stretch.

It would be the first time the Yankees don't make the postseason since before the strike.

Wow.

Wow.
Also, if the Braves fail to make the playoffs it would be the first postseason without either the Yanks or Braves since 1990.

The NL East is impossible to figure.....at this point I can't even rule out Philadelphia

The Mets don't seem to want to lock it up even though they've had plenty of chances.

White Sox ( sorry guys )

Don't apologize. Period. We're well aware that this team is likely finished. We're not afraid to hear the truth about them anymore, at least not this year.
