We’re still 24+ hrs. from Fridays game……But if Friday’s game gets rained out when would it be made up…….Saturday night? I would think they would keep Saturdays 12:05 game on schedule…..then play Fridays make-up game after?

If so, how would the parking work….for those who have parking passes? Saturday’s 12:05 game would fill all lots…..Or would they let anyone with parking passes for Fridays game in the lots at 12:05 on Saturday? Again, this would only be if the game gets called on Friday. I’m just trying to plan out my tailgating :-)

I'm still waiting for the first sunday cubs-sox game to get rained out resulting in a day-night doubleheader at two parks.

To me, it sounds like he's a fan, like many others, who is fed up with the way the Sox are playing.

I try to make as many games as possible.Ha well you gotta keep your streak goin... but in general.. These are my least attractive games to attend... I'd rather go see us play the Royals than the Cubs... I've attended one Cubs/Sox game in each park and found it to be soooo overrated... Both times I sat by literal Cub clowns with 3 foot tall blue afro's... Aside from watching idiot after idiot get escorted out by security, I don't enjoy them at all..

Especially this year: one team is 29-39, the other 32-38.

I went to all three at The Cell last season and had no problems. There were Cub fans sitting nearby but they were no worse than any other team's fans on any given day. Maybe I just got lucky...

I take it you weren't in the outfield any of those games? I agree with scotty. Although its not just cub fans who will make complete drunken fools of themselves this weekend.

I'll still be there friday.

I'll still be there friday.I completely agree... This series brings out the worst in both "fanbases"... I'm betting the idiots starting the trouble are the ones that only attend these specific games all year and go there looking to cause trouble... Outfield/UD/Infield... doesn't matter when it comes to this series... idiots abound wherever you are.

You just got lucky. I was there for all 3 and it was a headache. Bullpen bar, upper deck, outfield, good seats it did not matter, the fools were out in full force. I sat in the upper deck on Sunday and all I had was obnoxious people all over the place. Cubs and Sox fans

I'll be there Friday because that game is part of my split plan. When this series first started, I used to go to all the games on both sides of town. However, these games have become a pain in the arse. It has become a bunch of drillrods from both camps who think that just because they scored a ticket to the game, they have a God-given right to be a total [bleeping] [bleep].

I have to be almost as big a rain jinx as Law. It seems like every single home game I've had tickets for this year has had some sort of precipitation in the forecast. Tomorrow is no exception.:(: Since it is a 3:05 start, I'm willing to bet they'll wait for a window to play the game. They could end up starting it at 5:30 or 6PM if they had to. I hope they don't do that though because I can only imagine how volatile the crowd will be after 2.5 hrs of nothing to do except drink beer.:o:

I hope not either! Tomorrow's the NHL draft party at the UC! I want to see at least SOME of the baseball game! Let the game start on time and have Buehrle throw this one in under two hours.

Guess I am one of the idiots. First thing I am going to do is go look for a 70 year old man with his Cub jersey on and kick his ass. Then, walking into the park, after my 13th beer and 22nd shot I will be mother****ing all the great Sox fans like yourself for selling your tickets to these intruder Cub fans. Once I settle into my seats, I will scream mother****er to the first ******* that decides to leave his seat while play is in progress. With my trusty wrist rocket in my pocket, that I smuggled in with my 5th of Jim Beam, I will procede to pick off any "true fan" that is on his or her cell phone waving at the camera. God hope I dont see the Wave started because I might get angry. To top it off I will hopefully be able to run over a little 5 year old boy in pursuit of the "very very pricey souvenier" , the foul ball. Once I retrieve my ball, I will run onto the field like a maniac and tackle the first Cub coach I see and beat him to a pile of pulp and enjoy my 15 minutes on every news and sports medium in the entire US of A.

Cheers:gulp::tongue:

I agree wholeheartedly. I don't enjoy the crosstown series at all. I want to watch baseball, not participate in a circus. After last year's series with the AJ-Barrett fiasco, I swore off attending the crosstown series forever.

I'll have plenty of other opportunities to go to the Cell as the summer progresses.

I appear to be in the minority here but I happen to like going to the crosstown series, especially at our park. The reason? Exciting baseball games. The crowd is with every pitch and every play much more so than if we were just playing the Royals. It's about as close as you can get to a playoff atmosphere during the regular season and it is one of the best rivalries in baseball to boot. If you ignore the occasional Cub fan knucklehead, you'll find yourself having a good time at the ballpark.

I've been to over 30 crosstown games, and other than once when after the July 4h debacle at Wrigley when I tried to fight a policeman's horse, I've never gotten into anything worse than some good-natured ribbing with Cubs fans. So I'll be there this weekend, enjoying some good summer baseball, and probably the last three times this year where there will be any sense that the games have any larger meaning, no matter how petty that meaning might be.

Really. I find it the exact opposite. More people are on the concourse or out on the ramps smoking than watching the game. The ones that are in their seats are loud and chatting and not paying attention.
