before May 23rd, 9:00 AM - Sox record: 23-19
9:00 AM : Wife hands me Paul Konerko World Series Jersey for my birthday.
After 9:00 AM May 23rd - Sox record: 5-17
Today, the biggest Cub fan I know (and also one of the nicest people I have ever known) put the Konerko jersey on and walked around the office for about 5 minutes. She even spit on it.
That should stop the slide. Back to winning I figure. Look out Cleveland and Detroit.
So what are you doing to break this streak?

oh crap, I just realized that I am sounding like a cub fan. Sox fans don't believe in curses!

Truth. When we suck... we just suck.
You let a Cubs fan spit on your Sox jersey?

I'm half Greek and the way my grandmother from the old country used to get rid of the bad mojo was to spit three times. Not a loogie, just a little spit.
Maybe this will work. It's entertaining to read about in any case.

WHen the Sox are winning, I'm very supersticious (forgive my spelling, please!) but everytime I go into my little rituals I always think "This is so silly. Like this will help the Sox." But they win, so I figure why mess with a good thing! But I've tried a couple of different things for this losing streak and none of them have worked so I figure "It's up to you guys." There's not really a whole lot me shaving or not shaving will do to help the Sox.

You got that right. Even Buehrle was joking around about having a no hitter before the game ended.
