Great news about both of them. I'm surprised we haven't seen Floyd up here in the pen yet.

I don't believe you're going to see Floyd in the pen. He does not like pitching out of the bullpen. It did not work in Philly, and if he's on a roll as a starter I bet they're not going to want to mess with that. He seems like a guy who needs a solid routine. Kind of like McCarthy, I guess.

I've been saying to friends for a long time that the main piece in the Garcia trade was Gio, not Floyd. It would be a really nice bonus if it turns out that Floyd has somehow figured things out on top of it. He's had a really nice stretch lately.

My guess is they want to keep Floyd in his starting routine in case a veteran is traded in July or Danks continues to struggle.
