Wonderful. I've seen this movie before and it sucks. It's called Back to the Future: Bullpen Nightmare on 35th Street.

Wow - and I thought Day was actually looking serviceable out there.

Typical for this terrible season.:(: I can't wait to see Mac and Aardsma get lit up again.

God, this sucks SO hard. It's like Ozzie and Kenny just gave up and said, "These guys ****ing suck. Let them suck, I quit till next year."

Yep, that's what they said when Prinz was not a very good option and Day got hurt.

They don't have a choice.

Aardsma certainly will not be available to pitch tomorrow. He worked three innings tonight, allowing two runs on two hits with 4 Ks and 1 BB. He blew the save, but earned the win.

He is 2-1 with a 5.40 ERA in his stint at Charlotte.

Yeah, Heath Phillips pitched 6 innings, gave up 5 hits and 1 ER and then got to watch his bullpen blow it:o:

Kind of sounds familar doesn't it

He ought to be able to help out in the Sox bullpen...

If Charlie Haeger wasn't getting lit up with a 3-8 record and 5.77 ERA, he would be very helpful.

I didn't see the game tonight. What was Day's injury? I see that he left in the middle of an inning. Was is something big like his arm, or something little like a blister?

Lower back injury, I believe.

He'd fit right in the Sox rotation, he's got the experience of the bullpen losing a lead.

Just when you think we have hit bottom, someone brings a shovel.

Melton said in the post game last night that he didn't know if that short stint in the minors was going to help much. I hope he's wrong.

Haven't been here long, have ya? Anyone who has ever sucked on the Sox will suck forever...except Buehrle, he's the best pitcher in the history of the game and should be signed for 10 years at $20mil per....unless he wants more years or $$ than that, then we should just give it to him.

Don't expect rational thought in here

Aardsma is back for only one reason: Day is hurt and unavailable.

The Sox are also tacitly admitting that NOBODY in the minor league system is ready to step up to the big league club. This will happen when your big league roster has nearly a better team sitting on its disabled list than the one actually taking the field.

Why the "Fire Herm Schnieder" thread doesn't have 300 posts in it is beyond me, but I never claimed to understand the ravings of the mentally weak.
