One month and three days after he stood in George Steinbrenner's Stadium luxury box and announced that he would ride back into the Bronx for a second tour in pinstripes, Roger Clemens finally will step onto the Yankee Stadium mound this afternoon for the first time since the epic Game 7 of the 2003 ALCS against the Red Sox.

There ought to be a carnival barker stationed outside the gates off River Ave., screaming through a megaphone. Hurry, hurry, step right on up and see the bearded lady, the sword-swallowing freak, the four-horned goat.
There's a sideshow a minute where the Yankees are concerned. Perhaps the only way life could get more bizarre is if Paris Hilton were sentenced to clean the Stadium toilets.

As it is, Jason Giambi snuck into the ballpark yesterday dressed in a burqa, while Roger Clemens will today be dropped onto the mound from a space rocket. Meanwhile, the team also announced Alex Rodriguez is having Hillary Clinton's baby.

What is amazing is that FOX didn't change the schedule. The game can only be seen in Pittsburgh and New York home area.

The Pirates played the Yankees better last night than we did in any of the four games.

Roger leading thru 6 4-3 108 pitches

Yankee Stadium treating him like the messiah and Suzan is going completely nuts

Options are limited when you working at nite. Never seen a city with so few buses downtown.

Especially on weekends. But that's because nobody goes downtown on weekends much. We will be getting a form of light rail in the next few years, though.

Thing you need to understand is that EVERYBODY drives in the Phoenix metro area. The Mr and I live less than two miles from work, but nevertheless, we both drive. The lack of a good transit system has a lot to do with it. I never really appreciated the CTA/RTA/Metra/whatever-the-hell -they're-calling-it-now until I moved here.

Roger Clemens, eh? Never heard of him. Sounds like an interesting guy, though. Anyone know of a place, a TV network maybe, where I could find out more information about him?

When he announced this, I looked at their early June schedule, and remember thinking how much a joke he'd be if he started against Pitt at home. You're going to ask for insane rates, don't wuss out against Boston when you're team is most desperate

Fox is not ESPN.

I heard they were pretty pissed he didn't do that Sat game at Boston

Never in a million years would I think these 2 are friends :o:

"Roger and I were following Koby's game on the computer [Friday night], and it was just awesome and it was kind of lucky because we're never really together," said Debbie, who watched yesterday's game at the Stadium with family friend Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg.
