The Sox offense has been pounding teams lately and they remind me of the 2000 offense because they take walks and get the big basehit. I predict the Sox will score 900 runs, tops in the AL this year. Thoughts?

I'm thinking that they can top 1,000.

The Sox scored 978 runs in 2000.

The last team to score over 1000 runs was the 1999 Cleveland Indians, who scored 1009.

The 1931 New York Yankees hold the record for runs scored, with 1067. They did that in 154 games.

The sox will get about 1000, give or take 40 or so.

Scoring 1000 runs would be great, just as long as we don't give up 1000 as well!

yeah, but I don't think it'll be that bad, they might only give up 900.

Also for any of the "stat heads" out there, what Sox team gave up the most runs in a season?

(I don't know the answer, just wanted if anyone knew)
