The Sox return home and the weather gets bad again. Shocker

It just poured here for literally 2 minutes, now it's light sprinkles.

The weather is as reliable as our bullpen.

Only a 30% chance of scattered showers after game time. I'd be surprised if the Sox don't try to get this one in regardless, especially after what happened to the last Yankee series.

I have seen a few dark clouds swarming in here. :o:

They'll call it by 4:00.

They'll call it by 4:00.

Is that standard, 2 hours before game? I would hope that if it rains all day like it has by me so far that they would call it earlier, at least for my sake. Generally the Sox try to accomodate me personally as me much as possible.

Looks like it's going to be on and off all day (http://www.weather.com/weather/hourbyhour/60616).

Nope.. You should all be good tonight.. :D:
and I gave my tickets away for 6/9 so saturday should be good too.

Not with ESPN there they won't. You think they want to do 3 hours of BBTN?

I'm sure they would have no problem talking about Clemens for 3 hours.

I don't know. I figure they have jumped the gun on at least 3 rainouts already this season, why should today be any different.

It's happened before. They can talk about Clemens groin and recap all of Barroids at bats.

In that case it's pretty predictable--book it: monsoon. :o:

for selfish reasons, I want this game to go on.
I have tix for tomorrows' game with Buehrle pitching his 100th win!:gulp:

They don't...they do "bonus coverage" and update around the league.

We got over a half inch over here by Halsted and 87th in the last couple hours. My pumps are going bananas.

Nathanael Greene elementary is reporting less than a quarter inch today.

Raiing again here in Aurora...looks like a nasty storm swirling around the lake over Chicago.

For what its worth, accuweather has the rain ending mid-afternoon. Weather.com has it lasting all night though.

This is the second time I've tried to go to a game this year, the first one was also rained out.

I'm hoping for a better luck tonight.

In my best Roger Bossard opinion, this game doesn't get played tonight. Radar looks really bad.

They did that for the Red Sox game that got rained out, which also went on during the last WSox/Yankees series, they just did around the league bonus coverage

Not raining downtown

There's one more blob on the radar between Milwaukee & Rockford that might move through around 4 or so, but it might miss us, since the rain's starting to swirl out over the lake.

At worst we might get a delay to start, but it's looking like we're gonna play. (cross-fingers)

Amateur meteorology rant over. :D:

I'm not a meteorologist, but we probably play. I say this because the rain lessens just before 6 and continues to do so as the night goes on. The worst will be between 4 and 5. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a rain delay while they drain some stuff from earlier. The tarp should be on until gametime. I have no complaints though. I'm in row 9 of the UD so I'm just under the roof.

Check the Milwaukee radar on NOAA - the rain's not coming straight down from the north anymore.

I have CF bleachers, so I'm a lot more hopeful! :D:

Yeah it looks NNW. Accuweather forecast looks good. They are saying clear from 6-8 with only clouds and a 50% chance of storms at 8. We should get 5 innings in by then, but those storms will be there for only a little bit and it clears up by 9. My guess is we get all 9 in with the possibility of a delay in the middle.

They have no sense for that... They called the last rainout for 6pm game at 5:55 after the park was half full and people still driving in... Really put me in a good place that night...

If we get no batting practice in and we tear up Igawa we should cancel BP for the rest of the season.

I actually like when they do that, although it would be better if they they'd tell Phillips, Kruk et all to shut the hell up and let us hear the regular broadcasters. Much as I love to hear about Kruk's man-crush on Ryan Howard or Howie Kendricks...

I'm so sick of the rain already. I'm trying to stay positivie, but I just don't want to be standing out there for 2 hours again waiting to see if the game is going to be played.
