I know Prinz is having a good year but I wouldn't get too excited about him. The guy has had one good year ('01) and has been an arsonist ever since.

But on the other hand, I guess he's earned another shot, and think he might even be a native South Sider.

At this point, I could get excited about any one of these guys if that individual has more than one pitch that he can thow for strikes.

What are these strikes you speak of? Are they like runs?

Yes, actually, they are both rare occurrences that happen in Chicago baseball stadiums with the same frequency as sightings of Halley's Comet.

I've heard good things about Vasquez, but at this point I just want someone who can get teh job done. If Crede can throw strikes, I wouldn't mind seeing him in the bullpen.

Since being called up to AAA, Vasquez has walked 13 and struck out only 6 in 20 innings. We need guys that can throw strikes, and he definitely isn't doing it right now. Neither is that Wassermann fellow, who walked the bases loaded with no outs on Friday (I felt like I was watching the Sox).

Screw it - bring back Jose Paniagua.

Ehren Wasserman looks like he could be quite good, kind of out of the Chad Bradford mold. Still, he's nowhere near ready for the majors yet.
