Michael Barrett today:
"I think it happened because Zambrano and I are so close," he said. "I think of him like a brother. It's like a sibling rivalry."
"I love Carlos. I know he loves me."

- ............http://www.therxforum.com/images/smilies/monsters-inc71.gif . WHAT?!!!!!

Carlos Zambrano today:
"It's all my fault," Zambrano said Saturday. "That's all I can say. I feel bad for that."

- Yeh, no **** it's all your fault. You frickin' went after the guy, yelled at him, belittled him, and then hit him! I really was wondering who's fault it was... thanks for clearing it up.

Better yet, NO SUSPENSIONS! Just "undisclosed fines". This ballclub is a JOKE.

The thing is, when both guys know they're in a fight Barrett doesn't seem to fare as well. Did you see his face today? Two shiners and a stitched-up lip.
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Actually, as ****ed up as this sounds, AJ and Barrett are friends from High School baseball or somewhere around that time period. Supposedly, that's why AJP didn't hit him back.

It sounds like they didn't get any suspensions because they weren't fighting another team. I can understand that, I think.

Last year, when Barrett sucker-slapped AJ, he was suspended. He's still a punk, no matter the outcome of this fight.

Maybe Barrett learned to fight from watching Keith Magnuson tapes. :D:

Poor Keith found out the hard way that Bobby Orr could also fight

Yeah, Keith was a good guy, fighting just wasn't his thing. One summer he'd study boxing, and lost fights the next season. Then he'd study karate, and lose fights the next season.

Pretty consistent that way. You had to like the way he threw himself in the path of pucks. Gutsy.

It's a no-brainer. Zambrano is their (alleged) stud pitcher and Barrett is their only real catcher now that Blanco is on the DL and is not very good with the wood when he is off the DL. If they got suspended, I would fire the jerk who suspended them if I owned the Cubs.

You should read the paper today. It has a picture of those 2 hugging and in the article it said that they cried together. :puking:

:o:

I think he was just too shocked that Barrett actually hit him and didn't have time to respond before everyone else got in on the action.

That actually happened to me once when I was younger. We were playing football and I tossed the ball to this kid and it smacked him in the face. Then I did it again. He got mad and started chasing after me and I thought he was just messing around.

I finally got bored and stop running (which is the only reason he caught up with me) and he started throwing some really weak jabs which I just kept blocking. I still thought we were just messing around. One actually got through and got me on the nose. It didn't hurt or anything but I was just shocked to find out that he was really serious.

AJ is also a gentle soul. Just look at him with this dolphin.

It looks like AJ is trying to pull off the dolphins dorsal fin. Hence the dolphin screaming and trying to get away. :redneck

:o:

Also, Pods was on Barrett so dang quick, throwing him into AN ARMBAR (Chris Jericho, man of 1,004 holds) and taking him down, AJ never got the chance to swing.

Its funny that Mr. MMA (Barrett) can't handle Pods who weighs what? Like 150lbs soaking wet.
