Let's hear it. And yes, if it happens, we'll top this thread and hold you to it, asking for pics :D:

So, are you so down on this team that you're willing to throw something insane out there? Put your money where your mouth is! Beware though, there's more than a 10 game stretch of all NL games in June

Why would you get overly excited if the Sox win 10 in a row? With this starting 5 that's not a difficult goal.

Is this starting today, or some point in the year? I fully expect them to roll of 10 in a row at some point this year. Probably not the next 9 though.

The Sox have won 10 or more games in a row only 11 times in franchise history. They haven't won 10 or more in a row in over 30 years.

Not necessary after they would catch sight of Daver's elephant gun.

Hopefully the streak would continue long after; but, I'd sleep with my Sox earrings on until the end of the streak. You guys do not know how painful it can be to wake up the next morning finding out you fell asleep with earrings on. I cannot wear earrings for an entire week afterwards!

This is WSI, winning 10 in a row, with every Sox pitcher throwing a perfect game and the offense putting up 20 runs minimum in all 10 games, the folks on here would still find something to complain about.

Honestly, I think this is an awesome idea. Imagine if we can get a nice group of season ticket holders to promise to do this, then let the sox know. win 10 in a row, and a bunch of kids are going to get to go a sox game.

Well, it could be seen as selfish, as in the only way we'll donate our tickets is if the Sox win 10 in a row, which, Miller pointed out hasn't happened in 30 years.

Regardless, if at some point in the season the Sox do win 10 in a row, I will donate a game out of my plan to the charity.

Well if you really wanted to do something like that, the way to do it would be to have the Sox players donate tickets if they don't win 10, and y'all do it if they do.

Very righteous of you and thank you very much!

I actually took chantix for almost one month until I had insurance problems and they wouldn't cover it anymore...

It works wonders! I didn't quit after the first week as I should of, but I went from two packs a day to less than a half a pack a day without even having to try..For me to of done that is a miracle by God! :D:

Ten-game winning streaks aren't an end but a means to an end. Of course, I would love to see the Sox win 10 games in a row, but the 2005 White Sox won the World Series without putting together a 10-game winning streak. The 1976 White Sox won 10 in a row at one point in a 64-97 season.

On May 18, Bart Johnson pitched a three-hitter to beat Nolan Ryan and the Angels 5-0. On May 26, Ken Brett came within one out of a no-hitter. Jorge Orta misplayed a ground ball with two out in the Angels ninth for the first hit against Brett in his 11-inning 1-0 win -- the 10th straight for the Sox. Brett gave up another single in the 10th, but in those days, a starter pitching nine innings of no-hit ball would have gotten credit for a no-hitter. With no off days and a scheduled doubleheader, it happened in a hurry and improved the Sox record from 9-16 to 19-16. The pitching was awesome. The night before the near no-hitter, Rich Gossage pitched a complete game, scattering six hits in a 7-1 win.

Considering that the Sox had lost their best pitcher, Wilbur Wood, to a Ron LeFlore line drive in a May 9 win in Detroit, virtually ending Wood's career, it was an incredible effort, and the Tribune did a story about the genius of manager Paul Richards, who insisted on a five-man rotation. The Sox were just 4.5 games behind the Royals with a 27-22 record at one point before the season was sucked into some sort of black hole.

I'm glad I didn't shave my head for a last-place team. I was lucky to be away at college when they were losing 15 of their last 16 games.

I for one do not like extra long winning streaks. They really mean nothing. The sign of a hot team is winning eight of ten, twelve of 14, 20 of 23, etc.

Remember when the A's won 20-something in a row a few years ago? They were an erratically inconsistent team that was one and done in the playoffs.

I remember the 1989 White Sox winning nine in a row, and that streak may have shaved two games off their GB total and they still were in last most of the year.

So if the White Sox win ten in a row fine, but I'd rather see them win consistently for the long haul of the season and be in position to wi a playoff spot, not be streaky for a short period of time.

If they win 10 in a row, I'll relax a bit.

Granted, if the 10 in a row come around, say October; I certainly will be pulling for them to get the 11th one.

The sign of a 'hot team' is 8/10, but not 10/10? :?: And if you're going to win 20 out of 23, you need a big winning streak or two in there.

How does a 10-game winning streak make you inconsistent? This makes no sense.

How does a 10-game winning streak make you inconsistent? This makes no sense.

It's not the winning streak that makes a team inconsistent. It's what happens after the winning streak. The 2002 A's may not be a great example as the 20-game winning streak helped the A's win 103 games on the season and win the AL West. The A's began the streak in third place, 4.5 games out and finished in first 3.5 games up. I wouldn't label the team inconsistent because they lost three of five to the Twins in the ALDS. The Twins had broken their winning streak a month earlier.

But a 10-game winning streak doesn't make a team great. As I mentioned before, the 1976 White Sox went 52-97 in their remaining schedule and managed a nine-game losing streak before it was done. The 1977 White Sox began July with a nine-game winning streak that put them, with half their schedule played, 4.5 games ahead of the Twins (showing up the Cubs who were only 4 games ahead of the second-place Phillies). The revered 1977 White Sox finished in third place -- 5 games ahead to the Twins, but 12 behind the Royals and 4 behind the Rangers while the Cubs were finishing in fourth place, 20 games behind the Phillies.

Losing teams have winning streaks from time to time. In and of themselves, winning streaks aren't a big deal.

I don't know what to think to be honost. This team's performace is up there with those teams from the late 80s. And yet, they are hovering at .500. All I know is, they should be about 5-10 under right now. They are also not by all means out of the playoff race. So, who knows.

They'll turn it around. Over 162 games, I refuse to believe that they can't find a run of 8-10 wins in a row.

Granted, we're approaching a 1/3rd of the season in the books, so the odds go down, but I won't give up.
