Well, I sure hope it's nothing. We really need him back.

I think Gartrell had the winning hit in the 9th. The homer by Carter was earlier in the game.

Chris Getz needs to move up to AAA.

I'm assuming if anything was wrong with Thome, we'd know about it by now. Probably just wanted to give him a couple ABs for the day.

Carter HR = bottom of the 9th.
Gartrell game-winning PH single = bottom of the 11th.

I stand corrected. Thanks.

Carter needs to go to W-S after the draft.

Chris Getz? Your thoughts on him?

I'm glad to see him performing well. OTOH, he was drafted out of college, and he's repeating AA. Getz knows how to play the game, which should serve him well in this organization.

Yeah, I don't like that he's back at AA. He seems to spray the ball around pretty good, and hit a lot of liners. He's got the big league look.

Getz is doing exactly what he did out on the Cape a few summers back. The first year he hit OK but not great at the plate, then the second year he was putting up top ten numbers.

He uses the whole diamond when hitting. In fact he hits the outside pitch to left as well as anyone. He's not going to be able to continue putting up the numbers that he has over the last few weeks, but if he can stay close to where he is now they're going to have to move him.
