Tigers scratch Mike Maroth start

Tigers just announced a pitching change for the 12:30 game. Curious move by Murder City


The Tigers have changed starting pitchers for the first game of today's doubleheader at Fenway Park (12:35 p.m.).

Lefthander Mike Maroth had been scheduled to make the start, but instead Zach Miner will get the nod. He'll face Julian Tavarez.

update nothing major

First bit of news involves Tiger lefty Mike Maroth, the one-time Sox prospect who was supposed to pitch today. Maroth said he woke up about 2:30 a.m. feeling crappy. It looks like a case of the stomach-flu -- no word on where Maroth ate last night -- but he was scratched today
