When is Thome and Scotty Pods expected to return? It's been more than 15 days since they were put on.

I believe Thome is due back soon, while Pods is taking longer than expected.

Thome is going to be activated following the series against the Flubs.

From today's Cubune:

Designated hitter Jim Thome was 0-for-2 with an intentional walk and strikeout in his first three plate appearances Tuesday.

Not really sure what to make of this:

Guillen said the reports on catcher Toby Hall weren't good during his first two games for Triple-A Charlotte, although Hall had three hits and three RBIs in his first three at-bats Tuesday night at Columbus.

Weren't good? What does that mean?

His defense? Who knows. That does seem odd.

I think it means his throwing, and possibly how he feels when in action with the shoulder.

Damn, there was a posts in the minors forum about him being lifted in the game, with the hope that he was coming to Chicago, guess that might have not been the case

Ozzie was quoted the past few days as saying Hall's problem is throwing strong to the bases.

There was mention during "Rain Delay Theater" yesterday with the Ranger that Hall's throws are not very strong. Hopefully it is something that he can overcome.

Hell, just activate Hall and only have him catch Buehrle. Maybe this should be 1/2 teal?

Chris Rongy (sp?) said yesterday that it looks like Pods wont be back until mid-June at the earliest...he will still need to have a rehab assignment in the minors.

Thome should be back really soon but from what I heard Pods isnt even allowed to run yet.

What I read at Yahoo sports is that he began running obstacle courses in the outfield before the game but is still not running full speed.

general manager Ken Williams raised doubt whether Podsednik would return by the All-Star break. "When he's ready, he'll be ready," Williams said. "And it certainly isn't anytime soon."
