I told the Mrs. Now she wants to become a Phillies fan because Rowand and Garcia are both "hot". :D:

I have nothing better to do until I walk over to the Cell later for the game. So, I turned on Fox Saturday baseball. It was the Cubs playing in Phili. I noticed that Freddy Garcia was pitching today. Just thought you guys might like to this so you can turn on the game for a little and watch him.

NOTE TO MODS: I WAS NOT SURE IF I SHOULD PUT THIS IN THE HERE OR IN TALKING BASEBALL. YOU MAY MOVE IN NEEDED.

Freddy just smacked an RBI double off the wall.

I wonder if it would hurt a Cubs fan more to be beaten by a former Sox pitcher.

I watched an inning and Freddy's fastball was in the mid 80s. I'm glad we traded him.
EDIT-he just reached back and threw one at 93. I never thought I'd see that from him again.

I'm not sure they would even know who Freddy Garcia is.......they're probably still wondering why Sosa's not in the lineup.

I can't really say I miss him.

That 6th inning seemed to drag on. And on. And on. I definitely don't miss that from Sweaty Freddy.

I agree. I loved it when he got traded here, I loved what he did for us in the playoffs, but parting ways with him this offseason was a nobrainer

Garcia has done well with his bat this year. Another RBI single today

.273 AVG beats almost everyone on our roster. :o:

Garcia didn't win, but apparently another former White Sox pitcher beat the Cubs today.

There aren't many former White Sox pitchers I would want back on the team.

It was actually a double off the wall. He went to right-center with a pitch.

The Sox batting average would be MUCH higher if they got to hit Cub pitching more often than 6 games a year.
