Selig said that he had not made up his mind what to do. But tellingly, in an 80-minute interview Thursday, he neither praised Bonds nor expressed sympathy for Bondsís current plight, which includes being vigorously booed in ballparks he visits around the country.

ďI am protective of the sportís image, but sometimes things donít always work out exactly as you wanted,Ē Selig said. ďI know people want to know what Iím going to do, but I have not decided. Iíll decide at some point when we get closer to that time. I want to do what I think is in the best interest of the sport.Ē

Memo to Bud Selig:

Do something you've never done before.......LEAD.

Here's a suggestion. Spend the day at the Hall of Fame. Babe Ruth's daughter would be an interesting choice as a companion that day.

Not Barry Bonds know that while his record will stand, you are not particularly proud of it.

Bonds failed an amphetamines test, and is on trial for tax fraud and other malpractices.

IF that's the case, then suspend him for 50 games case closed, just for the amphetamines test.

After that suspension, the suspend him the rest of the year for his other legal issues. Playing in MLB is a privilege, it is not a right, therefore Selig should grow a pair and do this. If Donald Fehr, tries to appeal, then you get congress involved and he gets the axe.

PS- If these people really want to find out who is on HGH and who isn't, then make everyone take a blood test. It really only takes only a few days to find out who is clean and who isn't. As long as you bring in a few doctors or med-students(like me!) to read the results and charts of these players. This solves everyones problem, but since Selig is too damn stupid to do this, this will never happen.

Let's face it, if Mark McGwire was approaching the Aaron record Bud would be chasing him around like a bimbo at a Motley Crue concert.

If he did that he would get sued and lose, based on the existing contract with the MLBPA and existing labor law. Congress can't do anything to Donald Fehr.

"vigorously booed"? Poor Barry, is he ok?

seriously, they might be doing it more now, but Bonds was booed around the league long before this. It's a common side effect when you constantly act like a jerk to everyone.

In a way, they could if congress thinks that he is aiding the use of steroids, with enough proof, they can and at this rate they just might.

But can we all agree that Owners and Players(Donald Fehr) on both sides are just crooked bastards.
